1. In the summer of 2003, I went to go and visit my auntie in Washington D.C. I never been to Washington a day in my life, so I knew this was my lucky day. When I finally arrived there my auntie meet me at the airport. On our way to her house we stopped by this store to pick up a few items. The store was so clean. I never saw a store like this in my entire life. They had everything you could have ever thought of. She told me that I could buy anything I wanted and she didn’t care how much it was. That was music to my ears. I took a shopping cart and went on an adventure. Picking up items after items I didn’t stop. The shopping cart was filled to the top. When I was done I went looking for my auntie in the store. While I was looking for her everybody was looking at me. I didn’t really know what they were looking at but I knew it had to be good. Looking around to see what everybody was looking at I didn’t see anything. So I kept walking and searching for my auntie at the same time. As I was looking for her there was this lady who seem like she couldn’t keep her eyes off of me. So being the person I am I stopped and asked her what she was looking at. When I asked her she just busted out in a big laugh. I then began to get mad because I didn’t know what was so funny. Was it my hair? Did I have tissue on my shoe? Or was something on my teeth? Checking to see if any of those were the problem she stopped laughing and told me. She pointed down to my feet and smiled. Looking down slowly to see what it was, and to my surprise I saw the problem. I had on two different shoes. I was so embarrassed I didn’t know what to do. I took my basket and ran looking for somewhere to hide. Finally finding my auntie she asked me some questions. She asked me if I was ready to go and did I get everything I wanted. I answered no and went to go and find me a new pair of shoes. This time two shoes that match.
2. One day I was on my way home from a long day at school. To me school is like a job and sometimes we need a break. My grandmother picked me up from school that day and was going to drop me off at my house. I would stay at home by myself until my mother came home from work. On my way home my grandmother and I were talking about me and my mother moving back in with her. My grandfather just passed and she was getting lonely. I told her that I didn’t mind as long as I had my own room. Pulling up to my house I felt a strange feeling inside of me. I really didn’t know what the feeling was but I knew it was the first time I felt like this. Saying goodbye to my grandmother I walked into my dark house and turned off the alarm. After that I walked into the living room and turned on the lights. I checked and made sure everything was ok and made sure no one was in the house. Screaming hello to the top of my lungs I didn’t hear a respond. Relaxing and hopping on the couch I turned the TV on and started to watch my favorite movie. The feeling I had earlier was still inside of me. I tried to shake it off but I couldn’t. The feeling was like someone was watching me. Trying to be brave I got up and walked around the house to make sure everything was safe. Walking very slowly I made it to my room. Turning on the lights and to my surprise I see a mess. My bed was flipped over and my clothes were everywhere. At that moment I didn’t know what to do. I ran back into the living room to get the house phone and call 911. Telling them what happen and all of the details they asked me a very important question. The lady asked if the person who robbed us was still in the house. My eyes got big and I grabbed my purse and ran outside. Ten minutes later the police came and saved the day. They called my grandmother to let them know what happen and to tell her that I was ok. After that accident I never stayed at home alone, and guess what? We moved in with my grandmother that next day. That was the worst day of my entire life.
3. When I was little I used to go to the doctor a lot. I really didn’t know why but I knew I had to go. I didn’t like the doctor at all because it seemed like every time I went I thought that they was trying to kill me. At that age I didn’t understand why I had to get shoots every time I went. So one day my mother took me for my regular check up. Everything was going well until he called in the nurse. I then knew that this was the moment of DOOM! She came in and he whispered something in her ear about me. I looked at my mother and she looked away because she knew I was about to cry. All of a sudden the nurse came in with three needles. If you thought I couldn’t scream then well I did that day. Seeing those needles was like seeing the devil in person. Tears started rolling down my face and the doctor knew then that he was in for a rude awakening. Putting alcohol on my arm I knew it was time for the big needles. The doctor took my legs and crossed them so I wouldn’t move. Crying louder and louder my mother came to my rescue. One, two, three counting down for every needle they stuck in me. I couldn’t take it anymore so on the third one I kicked the doctor right between the legs. He screamed and told my mother that I needed to find another doctor. Since then my mother says no to all shoots unless it is life threatening.
