My Smithsonian Research

On the website I found alot of interesting things on there but one stood out to me and that was the women of our time. I found a woman by the name of Anne Sexton. She was a poet that had mental breakdowns alot. The doctors gave her an exercise that would and might help her. The exercise was writing how she felt that day and what was going through her mind at that moment. The assignment help her relieve some of the stress in her life and kept her from having those evil breakdowns. She wrote alot of poems that were really good. Her poem called "Live or Die" won her a Pulitzer Prize in 1967. Her Distinctions could never ease her deep rooted insecurities and tears, and in 1974 she commited suicide.

This was the year when I was in the 1st grade at Double Tree Elm. My teacher was this nice lady named Ms. Simmons. I would have to say that that was the best year of my life. In first grade you really didn’t have a lot of work to do. My best friend in first grade was a girl name Marisha. But I loved to call her M.C. She was a very cool and funny girl. We had the best of time together. The teacher never liked us sitting together because was would always talk and laugh. When I go over her house we would always watch our favorite movie "Lion King". The good ole days!

The world is like a big mall to me and I can get whatever my heart desire. It was time for me and my best friends to go shopping for a new outfit. I was spending money like it was water. Leaving the house at 12 on the dot we got into me 2004 light purple Toyota corolla.

What we've learned while living in memphis

Being young means that you are naïve about things that go on.


Being a young person means learning to be independent.


We are humans, we have feelings, and we do want to achieve great things. We just need more activities.

A lot of people start off by telling their name and age, but I am going to start off by telling my favorite fast food restaurants. I go here every day and know everything on the menu. I really don't know what to talk about but one thing,LIFE! Life is like a big bowl of different things mixed together. It depend what you put in there it make it good or bad. We the people of America make our life. Sometimes we need to think before we do some crazy things. Not thinking can lead to alot of bad things. I am a junior in high school and life is all ready getting to me. I am heading off to college in a little but and I stiil ask my self am I ready. Am I ready for what the world is going to throw at me? Will I end up being something I don't want to be? I ask my self these questions alot, but sometimes I already know the answer. If life comes at me with guns just know that I will be ready with my armor. The last day of school on a warm and sunny day. The bell rings letting everyone know that school is finally out. I grabbed my backpack and running out the door. I stoped by a couple of classrooms to tell my friends goodbye. Starting a conversation with some and sharing our ideas for the summer. When I get done talking I headed for the front door waving the school goodbye and running to my mother's car. As soon as I get in the car my mother as how was my day.With the facial expression on my face I didn't have to say a word.
